Q: I am currently margined and down…what to do?
First off, as soon as the market starts to pull back a bit, I new these questions would start.
In summary buying and holding on margin is a MISTAKE. NEVER, EVER, EVER buy and hold on margin, EVER! There is no benefit to this, and it’s only a liability.
If you are currently on margin and not trapped yet where you could get a margin call if markets continue downward, GET OFF MARGIN. I am 100% sure this is the best advice I could ever give. Remember what caused the huge market collapse, DEBT! There is no need for long term stocks on MARGIN!
